Handmade in 2016 by Italian luthier Fabio Zontini, this classical guitar is inspired by Hermann Hauser I’s celebrated 1937 instrument for Andrés Segovia. It pairs a German spruce soundboard with Indian rosewood back and sides, finished in French polish. Rogers tuning machines complete the traditional appointments.

Zontini was born in Milan in 1971 and graduated as a master luthier and restorer from Milan’s Civica Scuola di Liuteria in 1996. His work reflects close study of historical instruments by makers including Hauser, Torres, Gallinotti and Panormo. He brings that research to his own handmade guitars, seeking the character of the historical models while shaping instruments for today’s players.

A distinctive opportunity to own a Zontini guitar from 2016, built around one of the most influential designs in classical guitar history.
